Baby tools are fantastic toys
For budding builders, girls and boys
Hammer and spanner, or wrench to some
It's all you need to get the job done!
Ok, maybe I should stick to sewing. I had 30 minutes to kill in the car today while the kids were sleeping so what else was I to do but write a silly rhyme? Doesn't everyone?
Hope you like them. I'll be putting them up for sale in my etsy shop today or tomorrow.
I'm really enjoying the colour challenge as it's enabling me to focus on one element. My chaotic brain usually heads off in so many different directions I end up designing or starting multiple projects in one sitting but finishing nothing. With this approach I seem to be more disciplined....mmmm....we'll see. Six weeks will test this!
Some of the other colour players are cruising with blue. Hotfudge has managed to squeeze in a pair of sweet blue girls pants (while preparing for an exhibition), Treasurefield is researching & experimenting with blue & sepia, and poor Jo at DaisyChain seems to be suffering with a little hearing loss after a date with Bon Jovi (lucky girl).

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this! What an excellent idea!
I love your rhyme! You could add it to your Etsy shop, your business cards, everything! :)
The new tools are great; I like the contrasts you used with the blue.
I'm like you, this is really helping focus. I'm an off-in-different directions kind of creator, too. Plus, the challenge inspires me to just get busy!
So much fun to see everyone else's work, too. I'll post my newest soon...
I love your fabric choices - what fun the tools must be to play with. Can't wait to see what you do with the colour yellow!
I love your idea of making 'soft' hardwares, I'm sure little boys (and girls) love to play with them, esp with all these wonderful fabrics. Thank you for setting up the Challenge BTW, I am slow but I finally got mind done. It's fun :-).
